We explore the complex relationships between natural hazards, landscape change, and human-nature relations. Our research consider disasters not just as isolated extreme events, but as processes shaped by spatial patterns, environmental changes, human activities, economic policies, social inequalities, and governance system. By integrating field-based research, geospatial techniques, media content analysis, and transition design approach, we aim at understanding hazard landscape, designing management strategies, and communicating disaster risk.
